Welcome to LILY THE DOG

This blog is dedicated to my Golden Retriever, Lily who died about 6 years ago. She was my buddy, the boss of the house, Queen of the family and insane about tennis balls. She followed me everywhere and let me know when I displeased her. I had her for only 4 years but we are all still trying to live our lives so she would be proud.

The blog is intended to be a collection of interesting links, a place to share ideas and connections to good stuff. I hope to limit it to books, recipes, travel, dogs (and cats), birds and birding, knitting, some art and movies. I promise not to talk much about the love of my life, little Sophia who is our only grandchild, adopted from China. I do not promise not to post pictures of her, however.

Please use this place to find a book or a movie, talk about stuff, etc. I want to keep the politics to a separate page in order to keep the vitriol down. Religion is banned.
